Currently, more than 9,000 Palestinians are held in Israeli jails, 200 of whom are minors. 70 are women prisoners, 18 are members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, and 561 are serving life sentences. <span style=\"vertical-align: super; font-size: 10px !important;\">9<\/span>. Palestinian human rights organisations have reported numerous cases of torture, solitary confinement and medical negligence.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the United Nations<span style=\"vertical-align: super; font-size: 10px !important;\">10<\/span> reported that Palestinian women and girls in detention have also been subjected to multiple forms of sexual assault, including being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers. At least two Palestinian women detainees were reportedly raped, while others were threatened with rape and sexual violence.<\/p>\n<p>As of 6 February 2024, according to JLAC documentation, the Israeli occupation authorities are holding the bodies of 205 Palestinian residents of the West Bank, including 26 children, two women and 17 prisoners or detainees, indefinitely depriving them of a dignified
