His work has been present in audiovisual and film competitions around the world such as the Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina), European Media Art in Osnabrück (Germany) and Doclisboa (Portugal), and has been broadcast on television stations such as Canal Plus, TVE, Canal Historia, the network Televisión Educativa Cultural Iberoamericana and Films for the Humanities & Sciences.
For a decade he was the scriptwriter of the programmes Tesis and Tesis en la internacional (2001-11) on Canal Sur Andalucía, a benchmark television programme that has won numerous awards such as the Prize for the Best National Programme of Scientific Dissemination at the XXVI Biennial of Scientific Cinema in Ronda or the First Television Prize of the Advisory Council of RTVE in Andalusia, awarded to a report on gender violence.
She has directed the social documentaries El reverso de la Realidad (2007) and Warmi. Algunos apuntes sobre La Paz y sus mujeres (2014), produced for the Servicio de Relaciones Internacionales y Cooperación de la Universidad de Málaga and the Junta de Andalucía. His feature-length documentary Pepe el andaluz (2012) and his short film Descartes (2021) are his most important works, which have won numerous awards, such as the XXIX Andalusia Journalism Award (audiovisual category), the Best Spanish Documentary Award at X Documenta Madrid or the Grand Prize for Spanish Cinema at Zinebi. They have been screened at festivals, cinemas, museums and cultural centres in Europe, Latin America and Africa.
