United Kingdom<br \/>\n<strong>E-MAIL:<\/strong> ad4361@coventry.ac.uk<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">He has more than 20 years of experience in organizing nonviolent campaigns and nonviolent collective actions against building the\u00a0Segregation Wall and the Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestine. He is one of the founders of a Palestinian popular nonviolent resistance network called the\u00a0Popular\u00a0Struggle\u00a0Coordination\u00a0Committee (PSCC) and the co-founder of the popular nonviolent resistance committee in the southern Bethlehem area of Occupied Palestine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The PSCC was formed in 2009 by grassroots activists from the different villages across the Occupied Palestine that had resisted the Segregation Wall and the forcible displacement of communities in the previous decade. It has operated as an umbrella organization that supports nonviolent campaigns with material resources and strategic planning and building activists\u2019 capacities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mahmoud has been conducting several research projects in cooperation with research centres in different universities in the UK and the USA. His research focus is about nonviolent resistance, unarmed civilian protection and mobilization. His current research is about Unarmed Civilian protection in Masaf Yatta. His present research forthcoming is a monograph about Unarmed civil protection in Masafer Yatta: Palestine. He published different journal articles about Building capabilities of youth through a participatory oral history project: The South Hebron Hills case study. A monograph Civil Resistance Movements and Material Resources with ICNC. He co-authored.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since 2011, Soliman has been coordinating several projects in Palestine in the field of human rights protection, enhancing peoples\u2019 Sumud and youth capacity buildings projects. In the last two years Soliman coordinated a project called \u201cOn Our Land\u201d in marginalized communities of the South Hebron Hills and the Jordan Valley in Occupied Palestine to protect their cultural heritage from the Israeli occupation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Soliman was recognized by different human rights organizations, such as Protect Defenders, as a human right defender. He was a located in the UK from 2015-2019. Resistance in Occupied Palestine and the Use of Creative International Solidarity through Song\u201d to be published in the international Journal of Arts &amp; Communities.
